She graduated with a dual degree in Social Science (majoring in Development) and Arts (majoring in Political Science) at 51Թ in 2020, followed by completing her Honours in Social Science in 2021, exploring the partnerships of a supportive housing for families program in Brisbane. Prior to working at Q Shelter, Emma worked at a youth service, at 51Թ as a research assistant, and in an electorate office for a local Member of Parliament. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Lauren McNamara</strong></p><p><img alt="" height="208" src="https://studenthub.uq.edu.au/files/shared/uGv6yq9P9bip6AAXK56qkLDRSdodLLYMlE9mYXCYLwU1/Lauren-M.jpg" width="208" /></p><p>Lauren McNamara is the Ipswich Regional Care Coordinator within the Service Integration Initiative at Q Shelter. This role is a place-based response to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Lauren started her tertiary education with a Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management. After working as a restaurant manager for a couple of years, Lauren returned to UQ and graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (majoring in Development) in 2011. An Alumni of University of Queensland, he joined Mainfreight’s Graduate Program in 2020 following his studies in International Business &amp; Hospitality Management.</p><p>Beginning in our operations, he learned the business from the ground up before joining our Commercial &amp; Sales team in Chemcouriers, a Dangerous Goods movement subsidiary. In his career pathway he has developed a strong expertise in the soft skills of business such as relationship building and negotiation.</p><p>Throughout the previous 3 years with Mainfreight he has seen an upward trajectory as part of our ‘promote-from-within’ philosophy, now taking on the management of a larger sales team across Brisbane.</p><p><strong>Liam Fraser </strong></p><p>Liam Fraser is the Sales Manager of Mainfreight Airfreight, Brisbane. An Alumni of University of Queensland who studied Chemical Engineering &amp; Science (Chemistry), Liam began work casually with Mainfreight during high-school in our Warehousing team. He transitioned into Airfreight forwarding as COVID-19 began. This was the start of his passion of problem solving: project work of importing vaccines and test-kits from China, re-exporting movements to New Zealand and controlling temperature-sensitive freight throughout the pandemic.
