Pontificia Universidad Javeriana is a Catholic university which, over its almost 400-year history, has served the community by seeking to establish a more civilized, educated and听just society. Javeriana is the top private university in Colombia and is ranked 4th overall in the country. It promotes the development and transmission of science and culture and contributes to the development, guidance听and transformation of society.
Javeriana is located in Bogota, the capital of Colombia. Bogota is an immensely colourful city with friendly locals, street art on every corner, a plethora of delicious food options, and the Andes as its backyard.

Full-time study load
A minimum of 12 credits per semester at Javeriana is equivalent to 8 UQ units.
Host university requirements
GPA
You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at Javeriana.
Language
Students are required to have minimum B1听proficiency in Spanish, according to the Common European Framework.

Javeriana University does not have its own university residences or provide , but it does help听exchange students to obtain a place in a home-stay or university residence for the duration of their studies in Colombia.听

A range of funding for student exchange including scholarships, grants and loans are available to UQ students.
Insurance
Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQ鈥檚 Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

You must provide your own health insurance before going on exchange to Javeriana.
