1518 credits per semester (normally 5-8 courses) at Tsinghua University is equivalent to 8 UQ units.

1520 credits, 16 units per week of courses in the full Chinese Language Program at Tsinghua University isequivalent to 8 UQ units.

You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at Tsinghua University.

Language
To enrol in courses taught in Chinese, students need to pass HSK Band 6 (old) or 5 (new) as the minimum entry requirement.

  • Nationality:Exchange applicants at Tsinghua must be non-Chinese citizens (including students fromTaiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao).
  • Name for Registration: Tsinghua University requires students to have a Chinese name for registration. If you do not have one yet, Tsinghua's International Students Office and their student volunteers will assist you to create aone on arrival.泭
  • Course Flexibility:It is highly recommended you have a full study load of UQ general electives if you wish to study at Tsinghua, as course profiles can be hard to obtain.

Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQs Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.
