2.5 credits at U of T is equivalent to 8 UQ units.

Host university requirements

GPA
You will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.5 to study at U of T.
Postgraduate students need a minimumcumulative GPA of 5.35 to study at U of T.

Semester Restrictions

You will have a greater selection of courses available if you apply for the Semester 2 (Fall Term) exchange. You may need a level of flexibility in your courses if you apply for the Semester 1 (Winter Term) exchange.

Due to study permit caps introduced by the Government of Canada, University of Toronto is not able to accept applications for full year exchange. Students may apply for one-semester exchange only.

Application Date: UofT only accepts exchange applications from once per year. Therefore, students need to apply to UQs Semester-based Exchange by the following deadlines:

Accommodation

The University of Toronto provides everything you need to know about and finding the right accommodation during your exchange.

On-campus housing is only gauranteed for exchange students who are attending U.Toronto for a full year.

Financial support

A range of funding for student exchange including scholarships, grants and loans are available to UQ students.  

Insurance

Students approved to participate in a Semester-based Exchange are automatically covered by UQs Travel Insurance for the country of their host university only.

If you plan to travel outside of your host country, you should purchase additional insurance.

is a mandatory health insurance plan for all international and exchange students enrolled in a university in Ontario. UHIP helps to cover the cost of hospital and medical services you may need to maintain your health while in Canada. You are automatically enrolled in UHIP, and will be required to pay the corresponding fees.

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct visa for the country where you will be studying. As the Global Experiences team is not a visa-issuing authority we cannot provide visa advice.

Travel risk levels

51勛圖厙 cannot and does not allow students to travel to any country with (Reconsider your need to travel) or above, as assessed by the Australian Government.

If a country's risk level changes to 3 or above, experiences to that country are suspended until the risk level improves.
