Available Roles

There are across diverse departments such as HR, Overseas Business Development, Legal, R&D, and Energy Trading. All roles are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Click a role to view full details and requirements.听

Chinese (Mandarin) is NOT essential but is considered "nice to have" or "highly desirable" for specific roles.

Position	Position Summary听
(1 position) -听Application closed	Support HR projects听(e.g., Australia labour market surveys and听ESG-related initiatives) and assist with cross-functional coordination. The intern will gain听hands-on experience in听HR projects听and听processes while听contributing to ongoing听HR initiatives.
(3 positions) -听- Application closed	Provide project support to听the Overseas Business Development team,听including market research,听data collection, slide听preparation,听project听documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders. This role offers a valuable learning opportunity in international renewable听energy business听 development.
(1 position)	Provide support to the听Legal team in reviewing documents, conducting听legal research, and organising contract听materials. This role provides听exposure听to corporate听legal work in听the听renewable energy industry.
(2 positions)	Support the development听of software solutions related to energy systems听and digital platforms. The intern will assist in听coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of software applications.
(1 position)听- Application closed	Assist the R&D team with project coordination, research support, and technical documentation. The intern will help听organise project materials and support听cross-functional听collaboration within听the R&D team.
(2 positions)听- Application closed	Support the development听of software solutions related to energy systems听and digital platforms. The intern will assist in coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of software applications.
听 (1 position)	Support the Energy听Trading team with听market data analysis, research on electricity markets, and preparation听of internal reports. The intern will gain insight into energy trading and market operations.

Eligibility & How to Apply

Application Process

Step 1: Check your eligibility

Be actively enrolled in a UQ program and courses
Not due to graduate at the end of the semester of application
Completion of at least six (6) units at 51吃瓜网 in your current UQ program
Maintaining a minimum GPA of 4 and a record of steady academic achievement
Must meet visa and travel requirements for Taiwan

Step 2: Prepare your application

You will need:

Cover letter (1鈥�2 pages) outlining what you hope to gain from the experience
Current resume
Academic transcript
For technical roles (Intelligent Systems R&D, R&D, Energy Trading), any previous work, programming projects, or portfolio
Please听ensure to the position description for any further requirements

Step 3: Submit your application to UQ
Apply via by听12 April 2026. Application deadline extended to 19 April 2026 for selected roles.

Step 4: UQ screens applications
The UQ Internship Team reviews and shortlists candidates.

Step 5: HDRE conducts interviews
Shortlisted students will be reviewed/ interviewed by HD Renewable Energy.

Step 6: Register with UQ
Successful students must complete听听for grant eligibility and/or insurance by听4 May 2026.

Inclusions & Funding

There is no internship fee to participate in this program.

You must be financially able to support yourself in travelling to, living in (including all transport and living expenses) and returning听from Taiwan for the full duration of the program dates.
