Careers 101 is a four-week program for those wanting some help to get started in theirÌýcareer journey.Ìý
Over four weeks, you willÌýconnect with members of the Careers team, and fellow students.ÌýAll participantsÌýwho complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion.Ìý
Full Program:
¶Ù²¹³Ù±ð²õ:ÌýEveryÌýTuesdayÌý(2 PM - 4 PM) | from 14th March toÌý4th April 2023
Mode:ÌýOn Campus, St Lucia
Program:
- Session 1: Understanding your professional identity and brand
Set your goals for the program, and start identifying your professional capabilities and career pathways of interest. - Session 2: Identifying your career pathway and developing your experiences
Learn about experiences available andÌýstrategies for job searching in Australia - Session 3: Applications
Learn tips and strategies for developing your first resume and cover letter - Session 4: Reflecting and Articulating experiences, capabilities, and your value
Learn ways that you can reflect on your experiences and articulate themÌý
As part of this program, all registers will be enrolled in the My Career Adviser (MCA). MCA is aÌýself-paced online program with a wealth ofÌýonline careers and employability resources. If you would prefer not to be enrolled, please notify us via careers@uq.edu.au.

- This program will be capped due to available room capacity, so please register for the program directly here so as not to miss out.Ìý
- As this isÌýa four-week program, theÌýexpectation is that you attend every session. Therefore, ifÌýyou register but then are no longer able to attend every session, please cancel your booking before Friday, 10 March 2023 to enable another student to take your spot.Ìý

Our Career Development Programs areÌý designed to give you the support and guidance you need to feel confident in planning your career.
Careers 101 Program
A 4 week program will be offeredÌýin Semester 1, 2025 open to all students to help to get started in theirÌýcareer journey.Ìý The program seeks to support students to:
- Understand who they are as a professionalÌýand identify career pathway opportunities
- Learn about the job application processÌýand how to effectively reflect on and articulate learning from experiences

Career Advancement Program
A more advanced program delivered over 4 weeks which seeks to support students to:
- Develop their career plan and strategies
- Enhance student capabilities and confidence in articulating their unique value proposition to prospective employers
This program will be offered in Semester 2, 2025 on the St Lucia Campus.ÌýMore details to come!

For Career Development Programs students are no longer required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and are welcome to book directly into the program.Ìý
