The is a two-week intensive program for public health students to gain experience in the public health sector in Indonesia.Ìý
The study tour provides an introduction to the public health challenges currently facing Indonesia, as well as existing government, international and community-led initiatives tasked with meeting these challenges. This is a unique opportunity for Australian students to hear from leading health professionals, policy-makers and community health workers in Indonesia, and to discuss approaches to health issues with Indonesian counterparts.
The two-week intensive tour is made up of a comprehensive seminar series, and a number of field visits to health care facilities, organisations and schools in Indonesia which provide students with the opportunity to see firsthand how the public health system works in Indonesia and to understand the complex challenges it faces.

Credit Equivalent
ACICIS PHST = 2 UQ units. Maximum of 2 UQ units if the ACICIS PHST is successfully completed (pending UQ Faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet theÌýUQ short-term experience eligibility criteriaÌýand theÌýÌý
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline. Ìý
Cost
The participation mode of this experience isÌýStudy Abroad, meaning you pay tuitionÌýdirectly to the host. The program fee is $5,202 AUD, which includes tuition, field trips and cultural activities, accommodation, visa fee and most meals.
