Confirm eligibility for short-term experiences

To participate in a short-term global experience, you must meet a number of eligibility criteria.Ìý

Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying for a short-term global experience.

To be eligible to participate in a short-term global experience you must:

  • select an experience from the supported experiencesÌýlist
  • be enrolled and taking classes in a degree program at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in the semester before the experience
  • have completed at least six (6)Ìýunits at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in your current UQ program
  • have a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.0,Ìýas shown on your UQ studies report
  • have at least two (2) UQ units remaining in your current UQ program
  • meet any other published eligibility requirements relevant to the nominated short-term experience
  • agree to UQ's Global ExperiencesÌýTerms and Conditions
  • meet 'Additional Eligibility Criteria' outlined below for applicable programs

³§³Ù³Ü»å±ð²Ô³Ù²õÌýwill not be permittedÌýto undertake aÌýShort-Term Global Experience atÌýthe same host institutionÌýmore than once.

It is your responsibility to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and complete the relevant application procedure with your preferred host. The experience host is responsible for making the final decision on yourÌýeligibility to participate in the short-term experience.

International studentsÌý

International Students cannot participate in a short-term study experience toÌýthe country/region of passport, if you hold aÌýtemporary residency visa for Australia (international student visa or provisional Business Innovation and Investment visa (subclass 188)). The only exception to this is for internships.Ìý

Note:ÌýA short-term study experience may impact your eligibility to meet theÌýÌýfor the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa.
