National Taiwan University Plus Academy Summer Program
The 听enables students to enhance their Chinese language skills by combining intensive in-class lectures with cultural tours and activities.听
Through a series of English-based lectures, cultural tours, and activities, students are expected to gain knowledge about different environmental, historical, and sociocultural facets of Taiwan. Exploring Taiwan classes allow students to understand how Taiwan鈥檚 past has shaped its modern state, and the subtle ways Taiwan embraces foreign culture with its local culture.

Credit Equivalent听
7 credits = 2 UQ units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units if 7 Credits are successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term program criteria and the entry requirements听for the course.听
This program impacts UQ semester 2 teaching dates. UQ students must meet the additional听special conditions for programs that impact teaching dates.
It is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline. 听
Cost
The participation mode of this experience is听Study Abroad.听The program fee is approximately $5,350 AUD, and includes tuition, orientation, cultural courses, and activities. An application fee of approximately $310 AUD will apply.

Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an听experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the鈥�Short-Term Experiences Funding鈥� page for details.听

You may also be eligible to submit an application for an if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.

Application Deadlines
OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.
OS-HELP loan applications can鈥檛 be accepted:
- any earlier than 6 months听before the official start date of your overseas study
- any later than听3 months听before the official end date of your overseas study.
