ACICIS practicum programs combine academic study with a 160-hour professional placement at an Indonesian or international host organisation.ÌýPlacement host organisations are sourced from a broad range of industries and sectors in Indonesia.

What can I participate in?

ACICIS offers the following internship opportunities:

Credit Equivalent

Practicum course = 2-4 UQ Units. Maximum of 2-4 UQ Units if the ACICIS Professional Practicum Short Course is successfully completed (pending UQ faculty approval).Ìý

Eligibility and Application Instructions

All applicants must meet theÌýUQ short-term experience eligibility criteriaÌýand theÌýÌý

The Agriculture Professional Practicum andÌýBusiness Professional PracticumÌýimpact UQ semester 2 teaching dates. UQ students must meet the additionalÌýspecial conditionsÌýfor programs that impact teaching dates.

Important:ÌýPlease note that the host application deadline for this program falls before the UQ Short-Term Study application deadline. Students wishing to apply to this program should submit their host application prior to the host deadline outlined in the Key Dates section, and submit their UQ application as soon as applications open.

Important timing information: Some of the Practicums commence during UQ's Semester Two examination period. The Global Experiences Team is currently communicating with ACICIS to confirm whether students are able to commence the program following the examination period. We do not recommend finalising preparations such as flights or accommodation until further information is available. Ìý

Cost

The participation mode of this experience isÌýStudy Abroad.ÌýThe program fee isÌý$5,993 AUD and includes tuition, administration fee and visa fee.Ìý

AccommodationÌý

Funding

New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant

Ìýmay be available for this experience through ACICIS.

When you submit your application to ACICIS, you are automatically assessed by ACICIS for NCP funding. There is no additional application required.Ìý

Application Deadlines

OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.

OS-HELP loan applications can’t be accepted:

  • any earlier than 6 monthsÌýbefore the official start date of your overseas study
  • any later thanÌý3 monthsÌýbefore the official end date of your overseas study.
