UQ students can choose to听take a maximum of two courses within either Session 1 or Session 2,听with the first from the morning courses and the second from the afternoon courses to avoid a timetable clash.听For more information regarding program specifics, visit the听
Applicants are advised to submit 2-3 courses on their application for credit form for faculty assessment听credit in case of course cancellation.听
Credit equivalent听
1 SMU Credit听= 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 4 UQ Units if 2 SMU Credits are successfully completed across the morning and afternoon sessions (pending UQ faculty approval).听

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria and the 听
Session 2 impacts on UQ semester 2 dates. UQ students must meet the additional听special conditions听for programs that impact on teaching dates.
If you intend to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline. 听
Costs
The participation mode of this experience is听Study Abroad. Tuition only will be approximately $3,850 - $6,385 AUD depending on the number of courses undertaken. An administration and application fee of approximately $450 AUD will also apply.听
As UQ is a SMU partner univeristy, you may be eligible for a 10% discount on tuition fees.

Accommodation听
Accommodation is at an additional cost.听Students are responsible for booking their own accommodation for their stay in Singapore, however SMU may have arrangements with off-campus accommodation providers, with limited rooms available. More information regarding accommodation options can be found on the听.

Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an听experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the鈥�Short-Term Experiences Funding听page for details.听
OS-HELP Loan
You may also be eligible to submit an application for an听听if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.

Application Deadlines
OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.
OS-HELP loan applications can鈥檛 be accepted:
- any earlier than 6 months听before the official start date of your overseas study
- any later than听3 months听before the official end date of your overseas study.
