UQ strongly recommends that students do not travel to, or transit through, locations rated 鈥淒o not travel鈥� or 鈥淩econsider your need to travel鈥�,听due to security risks,听disruption听and insurance limitations.听
Where a destination听remains听approved, but a student chooses to transit via such locations against advice, UQ support and insurance apply only to the approved experience and destination, not to the student鈥檚 travel routing.听
Students听are responsible for听reviewing flight routes and keeping their travel details up to date.听

Exchange deadlines
The Semester-based Exchange application process begins one year before the exchange starts. For example, if you plan to start your exchange in UQ鈥檚 Semester 1, 2027, you must apply in UQ鈥檚 Semester 1, 2026.
Application for Exchange in UQ Semester 1 (for the following year):
Applications open:听24 April
Register interest by:听 21 May
Applications close:听31 May
Application for Exchange in UQ Semester 2 (for the following year):
Applications open:听24 September
Register interest by:听 21 October
Applications close:听31 October
