Credit equivalentÌý
15 UCL Credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 4ÌýUQ Units if 30 Credits are successfully completed across two sessions (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet theÌýUQ short-term experience eligibility criteriaÌýand theÌý.Ìý
Session Two impacts on UQ semester 2 dates. UQ students must meet the additionalÌýspecial conditionsÌýfor programs that impact on teaching dates.
If you intend to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline. Ìý
Cost
The participation mode of this experience isÌýStudy Abroad, meaning you pay tuitionÌýdirectly to the host.ÌýTuition for one session isÌýapproximately $6,250 AUD, and two sessions is approximately $10,370 AUD.
If you apply on or before 1 March 2026, there will be no application fee. An application fee of approximately $130 AUD will apply if applying after 2 March 2026.

When you submit your application for anÌýexperience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the Short-Term Experiences Funding  page for details.Ìý

OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.
OS-HELP loan applications can’t be accepted:
- any earlier than 6 monthsÌýbefore the official start date of your overseas study
- any later thanÌý3 monthsÌýbefore the official end date of your overseas study.
