Applicants are advised to submit听2-3 courses on their application for credit form听for faculty assessment听credit in case of course cancellation.听
Credit equivalent听
15 UCL Credits = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 4听UQ Units if 30 Credits are successfully completed across two sessions (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application
All applicants must meet the听UQ short-term experience eligibility criteria听and the听.听
Session Two impacts on UQ semester 2 dates. UQ students must meet the additional听special conditions听for programs that impact on teaching dates.
If you intend to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline. 听
Cost
The participation mode of this experience is听Study Abroad, meaning you pay tuition听directly to the host.听Tuition for one session is听approximately $6,250 AUD, and two sessions is approximately $10,370 AUD.
If you apply on or before 1 March 2026, there will be no application fee. An application fee of approximately $130 AUD will apply if applying after 2 March 2026.

Funding
Global Experiences Grants
When you submit your application for an听experience, you are automatically considered for funding that is relevant to your nominated experience. Please refer to the鈥�Short-Term Experiences Funding鈥� page for details.听

You may also be eligible to submit an application for an if your program is for-credit and you are enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student.

Application Deadlines
OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.
OS-HELP loan applications can鈥檛 be accepted:
- any earlier than 6 months听before the official start date of your overseas study
- any later than听3 months听before the official end date of your overseas study.
