Every summer participants from all over the world attend seminars and spend time together as a part of an international community on a campus on the shore of Lake Wolfgang.ÌýThe Austrian Arbitration Academy is an intensiveÌýtwo-week programÌýon international commercial arbitration.ÌýÌýThe European Studies courses focus on the emerging New Europe.ÌýThey coverÌýpolitical, economic and legal, but alsoÌýhistorical and culturalÌýaspects of the multiple transformations the continent is currently undergoing.ÌýExperience campus life on a lake shore set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop.ÌýÌý

Study Options
In the course of the four-week program, students are required to attend courses amounting to at least 10 ECTS credits. In order to meet this requirement, one of the following options is possible:
- Choose three EuropeanÌýStudies courses ()
- Choose one German plus one European Studies course ()
- Arbitration Academy course plus one European Studies course (Arbitration Academy)
Credit equivalentÌý
6 ECTS = 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 2 UQ Units upon successful completion of at least 6 ECTS (pending UQ faculty approval).ÌýMaximum of 4ÌýUQ Units upon successful completion of at least 10 ECTS (pending UQ faculty approval).

This program impacts on UQ semester 2 dates. UQ students must meet the additionalÌýspecial conditionsÌýfor programs that impact on teaching dates.
*Please note that BEL Students must submit 2-3 courses on their application for credit form for faculty credit assessment. All other applicants are also advised to submit 2-3 courses for assessment in case of course cancellation.Ìý
If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experience teamÌýat least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note, however, that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline.ÌýÌý

The participation mode of this experience isÌýStudy Abroad.ÌýTuition for the four-week program is approximatelyÌý$5,287 AUD.ÌýThere is an additional mandatory fee of approximately $45 AUD for the Austrian Student Union

Applicants may also be eligible forÌýUQ-specific funding.ÌýApplicants will be notified by mid-May if they are eligible for travel grants and scholarships awarded by the Global Experiences team. Please do not rely on this funding to support your global experience.
Accommodation
Accommodation can be provided at an additional fee.ÌýAccommodation cost range between approximately $4,290 AUD (single room) to $3,550 AUD (shared/double room).
