Credit Equivalent

3 creditsÌý= 2 UQ Units. Maximum of 4 UQ Units if 6 credits are successfully completed across two sessions (pending UQ faculty approval).

Eligibility and application

All applicants must meet theÌýUQ short-term experience eligibility criteriaÌýand theÌý. Students are required to at least have a 4.5ÌýGPA to meet CIS entry requirements.

Session 4 and BÌýimpact on UQ semester 2 dates. UQ students must meet the additionalÌýspecial conditionsÌýfor programs that impact on teaching dates.

CISaustralia programs are highly competitive and fill up fast so be sure to get your application in as early as possible.

If you are intending to undertake your experience for-credit, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application to the Global Experiences team at least 4 weeks before applying to the host to allow sufficient time for Faculty to complete the credit assessment. Please note however that it is your responsibility to meet the host application deadline. Ìý

Costs

The participation mode of this experience isÌýStudy Abroad, meaning you pay tuitionÌýdirectly to the host.ÌýThe program fee will cost approximately $7,999 AUD - $12,999 AUD and includes tuition, accommodation, meals and class field trips. An additional application fee of $99 AUD will apply.

OS-HELP loan applications open on 5 January each year.

OS-HELP loan applications can’t be accepted:

  • any earlier than 6 monthsÌýbefore the official start date of your overseas study
  • any later thanÌý3 monthsÌýbefore the official end date of your overseas study.
